Liyuan Chen is the owner and founder of Sunshine (Tianjin) Produce Ltd. He majored in biology and graduated from Sichuan University in 1989. He previously served for four years as a Certified Associate with China Inspection and Quarantine (CIQ).
He started Sunshine, a true pioneer in the seeds, nuts and dried fruits industry, first designing and building a purpose-built seed processing factory in Tianjin to produce safe and high-purity seeds to meet global export demand. Then, in a second factory, he introduced a Napasol steam pasteurization plant in 2015, the first of its kind in China, to ensure a safe, validated product for customers.
With sales offices and warehousing in Germany, the United States and the United Kingdom, the business is export-led, building an understanding of local market needs and ensuring service levels that match.
