Kees Blokland is director of Global Trading & Agency BV and Nuts2 BV in the Netherlands. Global Trading & Agency BV is a broker in all kinds of tree nuts and dried fruits, while Nuts2 BV is developing cashew processing in West Africa. Founded in 1993, Global Trading & Agency BV has built up a strong reputation as a trustworthy and experienced nut broker in the international market. The company’s goal is to build long term, reliable and sustainable supply chains. With strong expertise in cashew nut kernels and macadamias, Nuts2 BV has its own processing units for cashew nut kernels in Burkina Faso and Benin and serves as the exclusive sales office for Mayo Macs in South Africa.
Kees was involved in the founding of the African Cashew Alliance (ACA), an organization supporting and promoting cashews from Africa, creating a sustainable supply chain. He is also an INC Ambassador as well as an arbiter and board member of the Dutch Dried Fruit Association.
