Pankaj Sampat is the 3rd generation of a Cashew handling family. As a schoolboy, he started helping his father by de-coding & sending cables, typing contracts & letters, etc. After graduating from Mumbai University (Commerce), he joined the family broking firm more than four decades ago. Rather than any formal education, Pankaj learnt business the easy way –observing his father and accompanying him for business meetings while still in his teens!
Over the years, Samsons (earlier Sampat International & Kerala Cashew Indentors) has handled various other products including Spices, Peanuts, Sesameseeds and now Almonds & Walnuts.
Cashew continues to be Pankaj’s first love –he is a passionate student and follower of the developments in the Cashew Sector.
His second love is his grand-kids –1 in India and 2 in USA– making him divide his time between the two countries!
