Dirk Schmidt started his career in 1991 as a sales manager in the plastic industry in a Hamburg based Trading house. From 1994 to 1998 he made his Master degree in Business Administration at the German Otto-Friedrich-University Bamberg.

Since 1998 he is with Bösch Boden Spies and started as Sales Manager for Frozen Fruit & Juice Concentrates. In 2006 he took over the shares of his father and became the second generation of the Schmidt Family as shareholder in Bösch Boden Spies. And, was appointed to the Co-CEO of Bösch Boden Spies. Since October 1, 2022, he is CEO of Bösch Boden Spies.
