Emrah Yasar was born on April 1, 1972, in Manisa, Turkey.
He spent his childhood amongst the vineyards, his family was a raisin producer. Inspired by his small community, he chose viticulture as area to go and graduated Aegean University, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Horticulture in 1995. He had the privilege of being a student of Prof. Uygun Aksoy and Prof. Ahmet Altindisli, who are well known for their contribution to the industry.
Starting from organic dried fruit production, he worked for Turkish and International dried fruit companies as trader, GM, agent and finally joined Vesta as a partner in 2008. Vesta processes dried fruits, supplies packers all around the globe and retailers in Europe with 5 facilities in Turkey.
He is married and father of a daughter and a son, living in Izmir, Turkey.
