Yuxiu Chen is the founder and CEO of Yunnan Macadamia Industry Development Group Co., Ltd. (YMAC), and currently serves as chairwoman of the Yunnan Macadamia Society.
In 1993, she led and was responsible for the first import of 30 tons of macadamia seeds from Australia to Yunnan Province, helping to lay the foundation for China’s macadamia industry.
In 2003, she set her sights on starting her own business and resigned from a foreign trade job, founding YMAC to support the growth of the macadamia sector in Yunnan.
For over 30 years, Yuxiu Chen has been dedicated to developing the industry, leading more than a million farmers to help improve their livelihoods through macadamia cultivation. In 2019, at nearly 60 years old, she launched a second venture focused on bringing quality macadamia products to Chinese consumers under the “Mum’s Macadamia” brand.
