Mrs. Gonnermann has been Managing Director of the Waren-Verein der Hamburger Börse e.V. (abbreviated Waren-Verein) since 2021. The Waren-Verein is a German federal association representing the interests of importers of dried fruit, nuts, oilseeds, canned fruit, vegetables and fish, frozen fruit, vegetables and fish products as well as organic products for exactly 125 years. Mrs Gonnermann is also Managing Director and General Secretary of three affiliated associations. All associations are recognised authorities in the food import trade, whose expertise is valued in specialist circles and by political decision-makers and authorities – both nationally and internationally.
Previously, the fully qualified lawyer specialising in commercial law, who completed part of her legal training in Sydney and London and holds a Master’s degree in British studies (M.B.S.), was Managing Director of the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce for many years, where she was responsible for the largest service area.
