Umit Ergin is a seasoned leader in the global food industry, currently serving as Senior Vice President for Nuts Sales Europe at Olam Food Ingredients (ofi). With over 18 years of experience, Umit has played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s nut sales strategy across multiple regions.
Throughout his career at ofi, Umit has held various leadership positions. He previously headed Cashew, Almonds, Peanuts, Seeds Sales for Europe, driving market growth and strategic initiatives. His expertise later took him to the United States, where he led US Sales for Cashews, further expanding ofi’s footprint in the American market.
Academically, Umit holds a degree in Sociology from Erasmus University Rotterdam, complemented by multiple qualifications in Business Management. His educational background, combined with his extensive industry experience, has equipped him with a strong analytical and strategic mindset.
Beyond his professional achievements, Umit is passionate about community engagement and personal development. In his free time, he enjoys reading and coaching a soccer team in his hometown of Rotterdam, fostering leadership and teamwork among young athletes.
