Julie Adams is Vice President, Global Technical & Regulatory Affairs of the Almond Board of California. Ms. Adams joined the Board in 2000. Her responsibilities include developing strategies to address international trade policy and technical issues which include food safety, market access, phytosanitary requirements, regulatory changes and other areas which impact worldwide shipments of California almonds.
Most recently, Ms. Adams has been coordinating consultations with US and European authorities related to almond import controls and pre-export programs, as well as developing a sustainability supply chain initiative.
She chairs the Nut Processors Working Group of the European Snacks Association and serves as chair of the International Nut and Dried Fruit Council’s (INC) International Government and Regulatory Affairs Working Group. Ms. Adams is a member of the US Agricultural Technical Advisory Committee for Trade in Fruits & Vegetables.
