Alex has extensive experience across the full commercial spectrum of the macadamia industry. Raised on a macadamia farm in South Africa, he developed an early understanding of production before expanding his expertise internationally in nut trading in London, United Kingdom.
He later served as Sales Manager for Green & Gold Macadamias, where he focused on global market development and customer relationships. In 2025, Alex joined the family business, Green Farms Nut Company, a South Africa-based macadamia processor and exporter, which is also a member of Green & Gold Macadamias.
In addition to his commercial roles, Alex has contributed to industry through his service on the South African Macadamia Growers’ Association (SAMAC) board and the SAMAC Market Access and Development Committee.
