Award Categories:
Back to the Planet: Honoring initiatives focused on environmental sustainability, including climate action, biodiversity conservation, and responsible resource management.
Back to the People: Recognizing efforts that prioritize social sustainability, such as community support, livelihood enhancement, and workplace well-being.

Sustainability Focus
The INC has pinpointed five Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) where the nut and dried fruit industry can make a meaningful impact. Before applying please ensure that the project addresses at least one of these SDGs.
- Goal 2: Zero Hunger
- Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation
- Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production
- Goal 13: Climate Action
- Goal 15: Life on Land
Projects must address at least one of these SDGs to be eligible.
Submission Requirements
- All projects must be submitted using the official Application Form, sent as a single PDF attachment to Irene Gironès.
- Deadline: March 25, 2025, at 12:00 (noon) CET.
- Each applicant may submit one project per category. If an applicant wishes to apply in both categories, they must submit two different projects, one for each category. Applicants are not required to submit a project for each award category.
- The project must be relevant to at least one of the five INC Focus SDGs.
- The project must have started no more than two years ago. The project can be ongoing, but it must have been in place for a minimum of one year to ensure that it has measurable outcomes and impacts to report.
- This award is open only to INC members attending the 42nd World Nut and Dried Fruit Congress in Palma de Mallorca.
- All submitted information may be shared through INC communication channels, including the website, newsletter, and magazine.
Evaluation Criteria
Projects will be evaluated based on:
- Interest and relevance to the nut and dried fruit industry
- Impact on sustainability goals
- Innovation and originality of approach
The INC Leadership will review all submissions, and winners will be announced at the Congress in Palma de Mallorca.
