3U Vision, Presents Hyperion for the INC Innovation Awards

3U Vision

ARE YOU READY TO SEE BEYOND? 3U VISION HYPERION: 3 UNIQUE PATENTS IN THE MARKET

Founded in 2019, 3U Vision is a flexible new company that is constantly looking for innovative technological solutions. In a globalized world, where competition grows stronger day after day, the goal of 3U Vision is to provide the best optical sorters to those companies looking for the highest possible quality and reliability.

3U Vision HYPERION is a high-performing optical sorter and the first in the world to use full spectrum LED illumination for hyperspectral cameras, making the machine more stable and sustainable. The use of LED obviates the need for additional cooling systems because, compared to classic incandescent systems, which increase consumption and make the machine unstable, they are more efficient in terms of energy dissipation. The European Union has banned incandescent lamps due to their limited duration and high consumption, making them difficult to source. 3U Vision has developed an innovative system to overcome these problems.

HYPERION has patented smart custom-designed cameras, 100% made in Italy, with a four-wavelength multi-spectral system. This new system combines RGB and IR wavelengths, all in a single 4K sensor. This feature is a valuable advantage for detecting defects in similar-colored products that respond differently to infrared wavelengths.

High-resolution patented, multispectral, four-wavelength, 1024-pixel SWIR cameras achieve previously unattainable results, recognizing foreign bodies, inorganic defects, shells and foreign bodies in dried fruits and chemical differences not visible to the human eye.

HYPERION’s third patent is for state-of-the-art electrical and mechanical controlled ejectors. These ejectors have been customed designed with a compact design (twice as many ejector valves in each chute as our competitors and with a 3.2 mm pitch). These new ejectors require less compressed air, yet increase production capacity and reduce the amount of good product being rejected.
